Not everyone likes the Metro home screen, apps and charms of Windows 8. Although the new home screen is more powerful and easy to use, but users are accustomed to the old Start menu (Start).
There are some tools available to customize and change the home screen and Charms Bar, but none of them help to turn off Metro in Windows 8 . Windows 8 users who are looking for an intelligent and easy to disable Windows 8 Metro will be happy to know that a small utility is now available.
PCBeta has released a small utility that allows Metro to completely disable features, including Charms and screen (Start screen) in a second. Besides Charms bar and the home screen also disable the menu that appears when the cursor moves to the left corner of the screen.
This utility is very simple. Download and run the tool to disable the functions Metro. The application has no user interface. Just double click it to work. To return to the original configuration, simply restart your computer. Users who wish to permanently disable Metro have to move the exe file from the startup folder located at the following location:
C :/ Users / UserName / AppData / Roaming / Microsoft / Windows / StartMenu / Programs / Startup
Obviously, when you clear the screen, you will not be able to launch programs from the startup screen and the search feature will not work. Therefore, we suggest you set your favorite programs to the taskbar or create a shortcut of every program on your desktop or install the program Start8 to get a start menu style Windows 7 before running this tool.
To return to the original configuration, you must restart the PC. To restart your computer, you need to use the Alt + F4.
In case if you are not a member of PCBeta or not able to open the page (blocked by your ISP) or not able to find the download link you can directly download it from below link.

You don’t have to restart your computer. A simple log out will do the same thing. And there are many other ways besides using Alt-F4, but the easiest is if you install a Start Menu replacement, like Classic Start or ViStart.
The Windows 8 is in talks mostly because of th5e metro startscreen tiles, and its probably an attractive feature users are looking forward to. Most of the users wont like to disable it. But still its good to know there is an option to do this with this free utility.
