Microsoft has launched a new release preview of Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7, bringing the company’s next generation web browser to its previous generation OS. If you’d like to try out IE 10 on Windows 7, head on over to the IE 10 downloads page and download a copy for Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1  and  Windows 7 SP1 , for both 32-bit and 64-bit editions. In Windows 8 you don’t need to download it because it is the default in it.

This release is still technically a preview, which replaces IE 9 on installation, clearly Microsoft is a little more confident about its stability and polished than with previous platform previews. This version of Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 7 , has a similarly functioning interface as of Internet Explorer 9 but has better support for web standards and that is very important for greater consistency between what is obtained in the various existing browsers.

Main Features of Internet Explorer 10

  • More Interoperable HTML5 Support
  • Rich Visual Effects
  • Sophisticated Page Layouts
  • Enhanced Web Programming Model
  • Commitment to Privacy with “Do Not Track” on By Default
  • A Better Web Today, and Ahead : The opportunities continue for HTML5 to make both Web sites and applications better. Those opportunities are exciting for everyone on the Web.
