What makes the image below feel superior? For me it is magical, it’s like a movie within a picture. Or like a picture wanted to be film or The interval between the two maybe. That is called The Cinemagraph, and although I can not say it’s something new, I do have to clarify that it is not only GIFs.
This new idea is very simple, there are static images that have one or more elements in motion. The sensation is that of seeing living picture Although based on the same structure as the millions of GIF we can find on the Internet today.
Animated images had the honor of that 2010 be declared the year of GIF, For having accompanied since the dawn of the Internet to millions of web pages with nice pictures they saw how fashionable unleashed a calling to collect the best or create your own from other images or custom designs.
What differentiates cinemagraph GIF current classic is so far never been considered a union between art photography and such images, more oriented towards humor and celebration of pop and erotic components.
Its creators Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg have described the proposal as “something that is more than a photo and less than a movie“. And thus have been able to distinguish very well as Cinemagraph of GIF classic, thanks to its current uses only to fine art photography.
This is when Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg decided that the platform for their work stand out above the rest is adding something as innovative as it was unexpected. Since then she takes snapshots and Burg spends several hours to cut layers after creating the odd effect refers mixture of stillness and movement.
The result, in addition to her work catapulted overnight to the absolute limits, with interviews and articles on websites of half the world, has also encouraged others to go along, doing various photographs, treating and adding movement with programs as Adobe ImageReady .
Now the question is whether the idea will eventually cross the border internet and thus become a new form of advertising expression , supported by the interactive billboards and the rise of electronic ink.
