7 Most useful Commands for Google Chrome

Most of you might be knowing about the about:config command in firefox. But today I let you know about some unique and useful commands for Chrome one of the most used browser.

  • chrome://flags - With flags you can enable experimental features which Google Chrome is trying to incorporate in future stable versions of the browser.
  • chrome://dns - You want to know how DNS lookups for subdomains on your website can affect its performance. Use Google Chrome’s about:dns feature to see DNS lookup times.  It is also known as DNS prefetching feature.
  • chrome://memory-redirect -  Show the memory used by Chrome and by all other browsers that are running on the system at that time. It also shows information about all running processes related to the browser.

  • chrome://net-internals - It shows all the network information related to the browser. It can be used to capture network events generated by the browser. It also allows us to export the data. An important feature of this command is “Test”, which we can use for example when a page does not load, to know why it didn’t load.
  • chrome://quota-internals - It provides information about the disk space used by the browser, including how much space each temporary page uses.
  • chrome://sync-internals - It provides information on the synchronization feature of Chrome, including the URL of synchronization used by Google and statistics about synchronizations.

  • chrome://about - Finally with this instruction can see all the commands that can be used from the browser address bar.
